NakedMates.com has introduced ‘PartnerLink’, a way for two profiles to connect together to show that they a couple. Operating a bit like a friend request, except on a one-only basis one partner can send a ‘Partner Request’ to the other which the other subsequently confirms and the two profiles become connected in a unique way.
Mark Routeledge Founder of Naked Mates commented, “For many years we’ve had ‘a gay couple’ as one of the options on the ‘I am’ section of profiles but that didn’t really work in terms of showing who the partner was. This feature fixes that and makes things a lot easier for things like naked house parties and social events where the host is expecting one guy to turn up and two turn up instead. That might not seem like much of a problem but when you’re expecting 60 guys and your party and ten of them bring an unexpected partner, then it can be challenging to make sure there’s enough Blancmange for everyone!”.
Blancmange aside, operationally for NakedMates.com PartnerLink makes planning larger events like NakedFest and the annual holidays where exact numbers are required in advance much easier.
Commenting on the timing of the introduction of the new feature Mark commented “I completed testing on PartnerLink last week and introduced it in my usual timescale, oblivious to the significance of the date – the fact that it’s ended up being introduced on Valetine’s Day is coincidental but also quite amusing. I hope today sees some new partnerships being formed and plenty of guys taking advantage of this new feature!”.
